Executive coaching and development project that
assisted a high-performing leader at a major
international company with learning how to manage
and lead more effectively. Addressed challenges
with stress management, delegation, and a demanding
style that were creating problems with turnover,
morale, and productivity on leader's own team, with
colleagues, human resources, and more generally in
the company. Coaching project involved 360 performance
feedback interviews; formal assessment of style and
its impact; working with the leader, leader's assistant
and team, and management to design, implement, and
monitor new operating strategies; and joint
problem-solving through difficult on-the-job situations.

One-year career transition and executive coaching
project with a top (IT) executive at one of the
world's largest companies. Activities included
helping put together a portfolio of activities
and ventures. My role included standard outplacement
tasks (such as resume preparation and interview coaching),
plus such things as writing marketing materials
(bio, website) for new venture; coaching on strategy
and presentation for first Board meeting (a part of
the executive's career portfolio); addressing
interpersonal style issues that were impeding
realization of full career potential.

Team-building project that involved work with the
top members of a nationwide team for a large
international consulting firm to address communication
and performance issues through individual and team
interviews, individual and team assessment of style,
and facilitation of team sessions to identify and discuss
issues and generate team-based solutions.

Selection assessment, feedback, and executive
team-building project for a health care chain.
At the request of the Board, evaluated finalists
identified by a search consultant for the pivotal
CFO position. Used a selection tool to profile the
entire executive team, as well as the finalists.
Conducted individual feedback sessions with members
of the executive team. Evaluated the fit of the
finalists with the job, the team, and the company
culture and strategy. Once the CFO was on board,
conducted team-building sessions with the executive
team.

Executive coaching project with senior consultant at
a large professional service firm, including formal
assessment of individual style, motivators, and stress
behaviors; intensive sessions to address challenges
and develop new strategies for interpersonal
relationships, anger and time management; helped
recruit and select a new secretary; worked with
client, secretary, and firm management to identify
and practice new behaviors. Also helped client design
and implement a long-term career strategy to make partner.

Conducted a comprehensive program of team-building
and coaching to help turnaround an R&D-driven
manufacturing organization in trouble. Conducted
surveys and interviews of the executive and R&D
teams; developed strategic action plan to guide
change management initiatives; executive coaching
and feedback to key executives; and team-building
sessions for R&D team. Program helped stabilize
the company, reduce conflict and turnover, and improve
morale

Facilitated conflict-management program with President
and Vice President to mitigate conflicts threatening
to destroy the company. Included work on individual
development issues and facilitation of 5.5 hour conflict
management session and follow-up sessions to monitor
efficacy of joint behavioral agreements.
